Monday - May 28 - At Sea and Eating Day

Spent a day at sea and eating … or so it seems.

Met Kate and Mark for breakfast after sitting and having coffee with a lovely couple from Indiana while waiting. That's one thing I like about cruising is meeting new people and just chatting for a while.

Nice breakfast at the Lido: scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, cantaloupe and bananas. So at least the day started healthy. Left there and went to the Explorations Cafe to get some Internet time. Did that and then sat by a window to knit. Of course, that attracted attention … many people on the ship know there is a group of knitters on board and we seem to be quite the novelty.

Started back to the room just as Scotty was leaving. We seem to be on the same wavelength on this cruise. So we headed to lunch together. Met up with a couple from the knitting group and shared a table with them. Had yummy lunch of Pistou Soup, Fruit Salad, and Mac and Cheese. That topped me off so we headed back to the room for a nap.

What I thought would be a short nap, but the Captain's announcements at 4PM woke me up. Changed into our fancy duds because it was formal night. Another wonderful meal: Shrimp Cocktail, Italian Antipasto Salad, and Beef Wellington. Finished off with Warm Apples Sundae. Oh boy! I am stuffed.

I sat and knit a while with the group and then headed back to the room for bedtime. No pictures today, but tomorrow is Glacier Bay, so I'll try to snap some memorable shots.
